I can't believe I missed out on saturday Dave! We thought we better leave our mark on the tree when we stopped in! We've been so busy at Camp trying to get the grainery all ready this year for everyone to enjoy! Lestifer and I Built a new covered Porch on our shack this year. its about 27x9 and we just completed it saturday afternoon with the final touches!! oh we'll make it up there again when your there. then he thought he would help me build a new ladder for one of my enclosed stands and when i wasn't looking he cut one of my 2 legs for the ladder into the steps. We just gave up working after that!

you gotta watch that lester, he like sawing things!! You shoulda been there saturday, I shot a gun inside the cabin I needed a hole through the wall for a gas line so I shot a .22 hole through the exterior wall & sized it up by twisting a big flat blade screw driver in the holes till I had it right for the 3/8" copper line. I have to come up & see the grainery some time, the porch sounds really cool.

Hot coffe is even hotter through the nose. Was that after the beer can pics? I'm guessing it was. My pa shot a squriel in the attic a few years back. FROM INSIDE THE HOUSE. a .410 makes a big hole in plywood at close range. Those beer cans are the ones. I've started collecting empties already.

Holy Crap! I haven't been able to check in for awhile. Been busy as heck at work. Too busy! Lots happening at the deer camp thread. Lots of good and lots of not so good...
Wabo - Again I'm sorry to hear about your daughter and prayers have been sent for her and your family. That is a scary thing your dealing with. Its crazy that the "specialists" can't pin point this. I'm sure there are plenty of great docs in your area but you may want to contemplate a trip to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. A friend of mine has a step daughter with a heart condition. Our closest hospitals are in Fargo, ND. They have excellent docs there but when she has complications they send her straight to the Mayo for diagnosis and treatment. They perform miracles every day at that place and while inconvenient and expensive to travel such a distance, it might be worth it if they can help your little munchkin. I'm not saying in anyway that you don't know what is best for your loved one. Just a thought I had while reading your posts. That maybe they could help. I will continue to keep you in my thoughts and prayers and please don't be afraid to "vent" to us when you need to. The whole reason Dave started this thread was because of the need to vent and I can tell you this...the fact that you felt you could talk on here in your time of need shows that there is still purpose for this thread and it needs to stay alive.

Thanks for the prayers guys, I made it in to work today as the kiddo is doing ok in school. Only difference is no more bus rides they now ride with the grandparents to and from... Docs yesterday are now sending us to a Childrens only hospital, but say she should do ok now with the meds and test they have given over the last several days confirm, I hope. Thanks guys all options are open, my brother went to mayo long ago for a problem he caught from a tick bite, they do work miracles forsure!!!! Now can anyone point me in the right direction for the orange beverage cans????

I aint found no orange ones this year wabo. closest I've found so far is the fall series cans that miller put out on there high life & high life lite cans. it's a camo patern on the heavy stuff with a little bit of burnt orange color in there. the high life lites are a winter/silver/blue camo. or you can go with the schmitt cans with the wildlife pictures on them so glad to hear your daughter is doing better. Wabo, I've been reading about your daughter but have been unable to log in since last week. Finally got that all straightened out with Rick Binn and managed to get in here. I just wanted to say that I hope your daughter gets better soon.I know how it feels to have a sick child.I sympathize with you and sincerely hope both she and you weather this storm. You're a good daddy. Stan

Stan,
Thanks soooo Much for all the nice thoughts and prayers. So far this week has been a Good week up until today when the Docs notified us of some of her blood work showing a few things they are worried about. Now our visit will be pushed up possibly as soon as tomorrow for more bloodwork and test, kiddo isn't very happy and I don't blame her. She is beginning to be scared of all the poking and prodding from all the usual answers.
I've convinced her though if she keeps being as Good as she has I'll make sure she will also get to shoot ducks and geese this season with a new shotgun custom made, so long as she keeps hanging in there.
TZone, drink that other orange cans contents for me will you and Thanks for the invite!!! Trust me if I could I'd be there in the blink of an eye.
Thankyou to all of you for everything, this thread along with a few others here is keeping my spirits up and these days I can use it...
Now someone better get a new deer posted up here pretty soon!!! Dave is Weezy working on this issue yet??

she's been at it wabster. early youth season she put some stand time in, high winds & crappy weather held the deer down tight though. opener's only about a week away now though & she's going in with confidence from her doe she got last year. Tell your kiddo Dave don't like needles either. I'm a big sissy baby when it comes to that. I accidentally drove a ring shank finishing nail into my left middle finger last week while building stands with my nephew. Gas charged paslode framing/sheeting nailer. I was hanging on 12 feet in the air with my left hand & sending nails home with the gun in my right hand. Nail went through the board & into my finger, hit the bone & kind of popped my finger a good one. didn't split the bone tho. I had a glove on, pulled the glove off, hesetantly.... & it bled like a stuck pig!! LOL!! felt like I smacked it with a hammer (that would be on account of the nail to bone contact ) Well that hurt like heck & bled more than enough for clinic lab work..... and I think I prefer it over nedles, so next time I have to get poked for a test I might just bring my framing nailer along to the clinic. But that's just me, maybe kido will warm up to the itty bitty needles better than sissy Dave can. Hang in ther kiddo! your dad's gonna take good care of you. Dave
