I didn't have any in front of me, I did it in the Kitchen, and mailed it out about 2 hours later. Les

It took all of about 5 min. for me. My wife called and told me that the lines had thinned out so I left work to beat the lunch time rush.

Normal here for a Prez election, about an hour.

Same here, but I vote in a little township hall with a total of about 150 possible voters.. They have the option of electronic or paper voting.. It's paper, for me.. I do not trust anything electronic when it comes to voting..

The lines in the actual town here though must have been huge.. At 7:30 this morning, cars were backed up about 2-3 blocks from the voting area; all trying to find a spot to park and vote.. Passed the area again a few minutes ago and it's only slightly better..

Dropped my daughter off at school, looped back to the poll and had one person ahead of me in line. Nice hitting the poll at 7:30 in the morning.

My son and I just voted 10 minutes ago. As fast as it took to sign the Register and pull Republican levers

I had 3 people ahead of me and another 3 were waiting when I finished. I voted at 1030. It is unusual for this time of day and for a rural precinct. I am glad I am not voting this evening. We only have 3 voting machines and last year it took about 45 mins with the state elections.

There were three people ahead of me at 6:40 this morning. I voted Dem for the first time in my life for a candidate for Town Justice.

another benefit of living in a teeny town! (325350 total)

I don't expect any riot here when the returns come in, either.

I got to the polls (an elementary school) at 5:45 this morning and found more than 500 people ahead of me. I left and returned at noon and it took about 10 minutes!

150 in line shortly after poll opened here in a b'ham neighborhood. Took the wife and me 48 minutes to get in and out. Very smooth. Everyone polite, chatty, excited. Poll was at a public elementary school where the staff did a wonderful job of traffic control. By 8:05 when we left, NO line. Reckon it'll pick up at lunch and after work, but I do NOT smell a record turnout ...
It's a different thing to be a minority in such circumstances. Does a body good to see good people in a big city neighborhood - even if most of 'em don't vote the way I do.

I sure didn't see any ACORN types or thugs. Just polite, well-dressed folks exercising their duty ...

Still, I expect rioting in a lot of places when McCain "steals" it ...

The really scary thought is how many little towns it'll take to equal LA or Chicago.

Voted (#184) after dropping the kiddos off at school this AM. Missed the opening rush and was in and out within about 5 minutes.

If there IS a record turnout, I'm thinking it will be because regular working folks and professionals will make it a point to vote this time ...

We voted two weeks ago since mail in voting is the only option in our county. I really miss going to the polling place with my neighbors. I have no hopes for the votes to come out the way we want here in Washington state though there is some hope in the governor race. I'm counting on the rest of the country to save me!
