accurate powder data shows appx. 3150 fps. with the load i shoot.

I had 3 300 ultra mod 70's that would shoot 200 speers and sierras to 3200+ with Retumbo. I also had a 300 win mag mod 70 that shot 200 partitions at 3000. (I also have a 30-06 now that will shoot 180's at 2600 max.)
Each rifle is an individual.

I don't think you are out of line on your speeds. my 300 rum does 3250 through the lights with 113 grs of aa8700 and a 180 tsx.

I would not buy something that runs on any kind of primer given the possibility of primer shortages and even regulations. In fact, why not buy a flintlock? Really. Rocks aren't going away anytime soon.
