While its seem I can find NATO 556 at every gun store in Honolulu -- No one carries .250 Savage Ammo. My local shop had order in a case for me, which is nice.
I understand that my rifle might be happier shooting lighter .250-savage. So I've begun searching the the iNet for the light weight stuff, but no luck. Does anyone have a source of the lighter ammo?
Bonus Question: Does anyone know of a internet ammo dealer that ships to Hawaii?

Matt, check GunsAmerica.com. They got a box of 87 grainers for $24.50 plus shipping in the ammo section.

Got a 1899 in 32-40 with some custom ammo, and tracked down the guy who did it. He reloads for 170 different cartridges including 303 Savage and 250 Savage. He says he usually loads the 85gr Remington PowerPoint for lighter 250's.
His name is Rob Riddervold and he operates as Metallic Cartridges Specialties, and you can contact him at rgrdrvld_at_att.net. Just remove the _at_ and replace with @.. haven't tried anything but his 32-40 ammo, but I liked that plenty.
