I like feathers and really have no preference for color.

Any bright color so I can hopefully see my arrow impact. Right now my feathers are red(well, pink really),white, and blue.

I like bright colors for the vanes and nock. I also like the colors to be not found on the forest floor. I would like a chance to see where my arrow hits home and also the odd colors help me find the arrow after I shoot. My last ones where yellow nock and yellow and blue vanes.

I paint the last 7" of my carbon (crossbow) arrows with white lacquer and overspray the leading 2" with a color matching my Blazers, florescent red or neon green. Not only makes them much more visible but makes the vanes easier to remove when re fetching. Zip off the vanes with shop knife of vane remover, then hold a acetone soaked rag on the lacquer for a half minute to soak, and it comes right off. Most of the glue goes with the vane.
Slick and it adds only and grain to the back of the arrow for FOC considerations.

I really don't care what color they are.
My arrows are fitted with Tracer Nocks for visibility and I love 'em.
