About 7AM the woods came alive. Deer going nuts. Saw 4 bucks chasing does. This 9 came buy chasing a doe who was being chased by a spike. I hit the grunt tube loud to stop him. Sounded like a kazoo but he finally stopped. So I stopped him with a grunt call and droppoed him with a 308 shooting 168 gn BTs from KC Precision. Pass through with about a silver dollar exit. He was about 70 yds looking at me when I shot.
The moon was full and bright this morning. No light needed to get to my stand. In fact "moon shadows" followed me on the way. Temp was about 32 so that is very cold for this part of the world.
Didnt really expect to see so much due to the moon. I know they were moving all night. After I shot a doe came out. Not wanting to spook her I waited. Then another came out being chased by a 6ish. Then another spike came out smelling my tinks I had hanging in the brush. Then more doe etc. Finally waited them out and they left without becoming alarmed.
