I know most on here are TSX fans, but here is the 150 gr, .308 Hornady Interbond recovered from my buck. Impact was at 100-125 yards from a .300 Win Mag. Impact velocity was about 30-06 muzzle velocity (load's muzzle velocity = 3250 FPS). Retained weight was 136 gr or approx 91 %. Expansion was .83 at widest part. Penetration was about 2 feet of deer. The deer wilted on the spot - DRT. No exit, but no tracking required. (Buck was quartering towards me, bullet entered just off center of the front of the chest and was recovered just under the hide on the offside ribs.)

Pretty impressive performance, I think.

Can't argue with that performance at that velocity, that's the kind of performance I look for.

I have seen similar results with 30-06 150gr Interbonds and 270 130gr Interbonds. Nothing wrong with the killing power of those bullets and they aren't $33 for 50.

Similar to the pictures of the 165 I posted. I think it's a great bullet.

most underrated "premium" out there and least talked about

Yep - almost 3X expansion and 91% weight retention. It seems to combine the best of the "expanding" world and the "penetration" world. Those who have to have exit wounds may not be happy with it from a magnum at less than 150 yards, though.

I've had similar success on an elk and a deer with the 165-gr. Interbond as loaded by Hornady in the Light Magnum line for the .30-06. I shot one elk at a bit less than 300 yards and the bullet made a complete pass-through, ribs on one side and shoulder on the other. The deer was shot at close range, only 35 yards, and the bullet expanded quite a bit and remained laying under the hide on the far side.

I would guess there would have been a little more penetration if there was a little more weight behind it. if I wanted a little more penetration I would look at the 165 or 180g.

Sure is a good looking mushroom though,

Your 165 bullet pictures are not similar. Here you can see that the bullet is bonded, not it your pictures. The bullet in your pictures is more like Interlock.
