Proverbs - A wise man feareth, and departs from evil: but the fool rages, in confidence. - It is honor for a man to cease from strife: but every fool will meddle. - Mischief is as sport to a fool: but a man of understanding hath wisdom.

I figured I didn't want to ask, so I bought a Ti takeoff, and a mc. classic (thanks SKane). I just took delivery of a 22" #3 contour .223 AI bedded into the classic, and it feels great. I'll be able to tell you more after the weekend when I get to shoot it. They both feel great, but different. Don't forget, mcmillan has lots of differnt configurations. I don' thtink anyone could really say the B+C is tougher, but it is a cheap way to go light, and I really like the way it feels in my hands.

I have a B&C on my .375 and this is the second rifle it has been on since I bought it new in the 80's. It hold up to the recoil nicely & I am totally satisfied it. I have beat the living daylights out of it in the mountains and has held up very well.
To me the differences are like the Chevy Nova compared to a Corvette. The Nova was a good utilitarian vehicle. The B&C is a good utilitarian stock.
There comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor polite, nor popular -- but one must ask, "Is it right?"

The Bell & Carson is not as bad as many on here would have you believe. However, it is heavy and a bit "clubby" feeling. It is plenty servicable but does not produce a great "feeling" rifle.

B&C chopped glass, McMillian smooth layers of glass....but I own 4 B&C Ti stocks (ADL and BDL) and 2 McMillians.....McMillians are an upgrade but it will cost you. Not every rig needs a Micky...........gl

Canoli To me, the McMillan is a much nicer stock but it is about twice as much money. Is is twice as good? Don't know about that one. I have one of each. If I could afford the Mickey, that's what I'd go with, but if I couldn't I wouldn't feel bad about using a B&C medalist. It's a heck of a good stock for the money. John

John I've had a few B&C Carbelites and Medalists. Carbelites are functional but very clubby. Medalists are svelte and sweet for a pretty reasonable price!
