In April 1993, you published an article on handloading the 257 Roberts, 7X57 and 30-06.

Just curious, do you still use any of these loads?

I use your 200 Partition recommendation and find it very dependable even to this day.

I've pretty much switched to H4350 rather than IMR4350, but in the main, yes, I still use the same loads--especially the 200-grain Partition load in the .30-06.

Just got in another batch of Ramshot Hunter powder, however, after using up my first pound loading for my wife's .257 Roberts and .270 Winchester, where it was outstanding. I was so impressed I'll be trying it in several rounds soon, including the 7x57 and .30-06 with medium-weight bullets. Burning rate is supposedly about like RL19, but unlike 19, it's temp-insensitive.

For some reason, I have found H4350 to be more "sensitive" to bullet changes than IMR4350 in 30-06s, at least in regards to accuracy.

After owning seven or eight 30-06s, I am of the opinion that if a bullet won't shoot well with IMR4350, it probably will not shoot well with anything, which does not seem to always be the case with H4350.

One example is that my current 30-06 averages about 3/4" with IMR and 180 Partitions, yet I can't seem to find an H4350/180 Partition load that will shoot under 4". With that being said, my most accurate load is H4350 with the 168 TSX. At this early point in testing the TSX seems to be a cosistent 1/2" or less performer.

I would like to use temp-insensitive H4350 for all my 30-06 loads. Any comments on how to get Partitions to shoot with that powder?
