I've bought so much stuff from so many people on here that I couldn't remember all of their names if I was good at names, which I ain't.

I've never had a bad transaction off of 24hr. and really only one out of the hundreds I've done was bad, which cost me about $200, and I can't really say it was the sellers fault and it was off of auctionarms. (bt a sporterized 96 swede with a cheap scope, weeks or months later, I went to change out the scope and the front base fell off. Upon further inspection I found that some jackleg had ground down the receiver bridge so far that I don't think its safe to shoot, any one need a bolt or barrel for a swede, really cheap? )

However, I've run into variations of this several times, so I'm going to post my policy here before I start selling stuff. I see something advertised and there is some one with a related post such as "PM sent" or "send me a pic" related to the ad. I'll send a email or PM saying "if this gun (or whatever) is still available, I'll take it". I've had several people email me back asking if I really wanted the gun (or whatever). Duh, what does "I'll take it" mean.?

So I am telling you now, if someone says they are interested or they're thinking about it, or they want more details, or they have to ask their wife, or..... unless I specifically tell them that I will hold the item for them for x period of time, then the first person who says, "I'll take it." or similar will own it. An expression of interest or a question is just that, not a hold until someone makes up their mind.

Sometimes people get bent out of shape by the times posted on the forum posts, when, in fact, the first thing I do if I really want an item is email or PM the seller, and then I may post on the thread or I may not, so thread posts times don't necessarily reflect who was furstest with the mostest. BTW, for whatever reason some sellers don't post their email addresses either in the ad or in their profile, which annoys me since I prefer emails to PMs.

Well...I have remembered at least one person who I had forgotten to list. I had the pleasure of meeting Leupold at the RMEF Elk Camp in Reno this past February, and he's the real deal. Nice guy, very knowledgeable and enjoyable to talk with.

Stand by...my sieve-like memory will likely produce more gems at random moments.

I don't think he sells on here, mostly on AR, I believe, but since I picked up some guns I purchased from him yesterday I want to add Bobby Tomek of Shiner, Texas to the good guy list. I've bought several guns from him, they all have been better than described and reasonably price. Good to deal with. For all the others I bought from, if I remember your handles, I'll post them as I get to them. Many of y'all are already listed, so no use in being redundant.

Please add 1B to the Good Guy List. I bought an old Sako stock from his listing in this forum. It was better than he described, he sent it to me Priority Mail at his expense, and he kept me informed throughout the entire process.

The best deal I have ever done on the internet, period!

Guys,

In the interest of keeping this thread from growing overly long, I will only be updating the "Good Guy List" once or twice per month. Unless, of course, someone contacts me within the alloted time after I post that I can go back and edit it. Thanks for understanding.

9.3,

Well, please add 'goodnews' to the list of good guys. The barrel and stock he sent me were better than advertised and he shipped them very quickly. Plus the packaging was top-notch.

Everyone already knows this, but I'm putting my $.015 worth in anyway. Our friend 9_3 Guy is a true gentleman and a pleasure to do business with. When I asked the members about building a rifle on a small ring action, he graciously offered to sell me one he had at a very good price. The transaction is complete and I am most satisfied. Thank you again, 9_3. Greg

I agree with the comment onRamshooter, he still owes me 100 dollars on a bum rifle he sold me, gave me a big deal about him being a stand up guy, then ignored my emails, etc.

Daveyeka is a stand up guy as well.

The Ramshooter I referred to was the one at aolcom, apologize if it is not the one on here by that name. Wherever he is, he knows about that 1886...

There's too many good guys to list but here's a couple I've done business with.

Rusty Gunn aka Suluuq if I remember right-ivory Killer Whale for my wife's birthday-outstanding

JJHACK-alaskan bear skull--outstanding as well

Good luck, Troy
