I have a left hand action Remington 700 in which the trigger needs to be replaced. Most after market triggers that i read about in Brownell's catalog are "for right hand actions only". Who makes the best after market trigger for the left hand Remington 700?
To make matters more confusing- the product description varies from the brownell's catalog to the midway catalog. In one catalog it suggest Rifle Basix will work in either right or left hand actions, in the other is specifies right hand only.
At present the only trigger I can find that list a specific item number for left hand action is timney. Can any of the others be adapted easily?

I am not a handy man at all, but I have installed two left hand Jewel triggers in synthetic stocked rifles. I had to use a file on one of them so the bolt release lever would clear. Otherwise it just drops in. I do think that the jewel trigger is the most expensive one, but many think it the best. Don

Midway is incorrect ; our unit works on left hand also. Sincerely, Doug Shilen Incorporated
The word from shilen is their trigger works on both left and right hand actions in the Remington. Life is looking better. RD

Russell Did you contact Rifle Basix about theirs? Seems it would be easy for them to make a flakey trigger... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> art
Mark Begich, Joaquin Jackson, and Heller resistance... Three huge reasons to worry about the NRA.
