Never ever and I mewan NEVER let yuou wife help with putting down hardwood flooring. Especially when all she knows is what she saw on Bob Villa.

I love my wife dearly, and have for over thirty years, but there are times I want to tell her to just STFU!

Yes! couples should not be involved in flooring, assembling kit tool sheds, wall papering/painting, and selecting a Christmas tree.

I must admit the Christmas tree deal has become a game. We spent all of yesterday in the forest, critiquing one another's selections and then we finally drove back and took our first pick.

I let wife set up the artificial tree every year. I just have to make sure there is a spot for it because she sets it up the day after Christmas.

I also let her do the lights because I don't particularly care.

I waited until she was off and had dad help me rack the hardwood floor in the kitchen while I went behind him and nailed each piece in. My junkyard kitten that I had picked up a couple of months before helped. She ran back and forth while we put the wood down.

No sense letting wife bitch and moan about the loud noises, etc.
