Got one with the rifle but this thing is WAY too much fun. I need 2-4 more.

Trigger is ok, not great. Backed off the spring as far as I can and it's ~4lbs with a hair of creep. OK not great but it is nicely put together and shoots the bulk federal 550 pack stuff into 3/4"-1" at 50yds.

Got to get the scope paralax redone though.

Dave, did you take the lawyer pin out of the trigger? If you're still up at 4 pounds I'm guessing not?

Nope. I was going to do a visual but had the scope mounted and decided I would wring it out as is. Didn't want to remove the scope to pull the action out. I now need to find a scope with the paralax set at 50-75yds. The Weaver V10 isn't cutting it. Too bad as the ocular was the smallest I had and got the scope down nicely.

I'll pull the scope and the action and figure out what you mean by the lawyer pin. You got to remember I have NEVER messed with a M52 or ANY rimfire besides a 10-22. Haven't even read anything. I figured I might have to swap springs (got tons) and make decrease the sear engagement a touch and smooth contact surfaces but since this isn't a Rem-Win-Ruger with tons of spare parts available I am going to be REAL careful.

I don't want to do the GB thing.

The Lawyer pin is internal to the trigger and it is why you can't go below 4 lbs. Rimfire Central on the Winchester forum and do a search, great rifles. The after market mags are OK if you examine them if they look cheap stay away but I have had 3 and only the first a cheap looking one gave me any trouble. I did buy a qenuine Winchester in script and all it was just too
tired to work, the dealer gave me a aftermarket to replace it and its just fine.

Dave, Get yourself a bent tip screwdriver. Pretty handy for removing a 52 action without removing the scope. It's still a PITA, but it works.

The "Lawyer Pin" is pretty obvious once you take a look. It runs vertically, and blocks the pull adjustment screw from turning. Just punch it out!

Dave-check out Brownells for the clips. Last ones I got were less than $10 a piece. Work great too. Also if you have a anschutz, get a Savage clip from brownells and it will work fine with a very slight alteration. For the 52 get yourself a piece of wood(maybe 1/2" wide and 2" long) that is shaped like a wedge to put behind the trigger and in front of the trigger guard. When you push the trigger forward to take the bolt out of the action insert wedge. This will keep things in place and you will be able to put the bolt right back in the action and then remove the wedge. This saves a lot of swearing. LOL Oh, I hope you don't get the rimfire bug. They are my favorite rifles. Cheap to shoot, not noisy, and you don't have to reload the empties. Don't get any better than that.

Dave-I found 2 clips in the pack from Brownells and the # for the 52 is: 533-400-567 and the savage one is: 533-400-355.
My buddy has a tax # for his business and I am sure they were less than $10 a piece. Most of the silhouette guys here have several for the Win. and Anschutzs. They are cheap substitutes compared to the originals. hunter
