This price is very little above the cost of a donor Argentine action in the rough with military bolt handle attached!
Done on a plain but surprisingly comely piece of golden-toned French with exotic dark wood fore end pistol grip caps. Caps may be Ceylon ebony? Wood nicely classic in proportion, fore end cross section is oval. All work done by a local custom rifle smith that has been in business for forty years. This is not a garage job. Shadow line cheek piece. Micrometer peep. Presently 7.65x53. Bought it for a donor to start a project. .30/06 fits in the magazine. New bolt handle and trigger (probably a Timney but I will have to check), lightly bead blasted to matte finish. Reblued. Metal is near 100%, stock has a couple of safe dings, but has seen no field use. I intended to rebarrel to a .411 Hawk. Keep as is, or screw in a new tube and you are done. $550.
