I have 40+ yrs. mountain experience in B.C. and Alberta and have worn out 20+ pair of high end boots. I have also sold and fitted mountaineering boots for a living; that is about the best advice on boots I have seen on this or any other forum, period. I respect Cabelas very much and deal with them, I agree with the statement concerning the boots they sell; they are not built for serious mountain hunting. Boots are one item of gear where spending the money and getting the best is really a good idea, I learned the hard way.
