Bought used first time out.

Shooting 3" duck loads. The first shot is fine then it locks up. Cant eject shell. Pump feels stuck. Any ideas?

Cycles fine when I just run shells through without firing.

Might be it could be the shells. I'm shooting 5 year old shells of various shot size. estate and Remington.

Also what is the switch on the mag tube next to the reciever. Marked S and R.

Are the old duck loads that your shooting rusty by any chance. A hunting buddy had that same issue. He ended up having to pull the barrel and remove the shell that way. He swapped to a fresh box of non-rusted shells and never had an issue.

I dunno for sure, but I remeber reading somewhere that the switch, allowed you to shoot a single shot and work the action without having another shell come outta the tube. Switch it the other way and it was just like any other pump gun again.

I believe Mud Bogger is right all the way around. The magazine cut-off switch is exactly what he said.
