Happy New Year everyone even though PSU lost.

I've been interested in 99's since I was a kid. Most of the guys at deer camp used them and the first rifle I bought on my own was a 99. I've learned a lot here. I also got to meet Ron T and gophergunner because of posts made here.

Happy New Year to everyone and good shootin'! I read more than I post but I'm still hanging in there with you guys. I'm starting out this year the right way with a 99E in .300 Savage with a old 4X Weaver scope mounted on it. I'll be picking it up on Saturday. Thus my 99 collection will be doubled (2 guns)!

Include this lurker in the headcount. I seldom have much to say, but when I do, you might know it.

Happy new year to all. Most folks here have forgotten more than I know. Learn something dern near every time I come here. I'm more of an acquirrer than a collector, however the "condition" influence is becoming stronger. My standards for shooters seems to be getting higher. Greatly enjoy this sight.

I'm Back !!! Already entered on pg.8. Went to my sports club meet tonite, and a 80 y.o. member came & gave me a LYMAN .250 cal. & RCBS .300 cal dies. Offered to buy but he said no. Reached for my wallet...GONE!! Nope, left it at home.

I'll go by his place t'morrow & pay for his club dues for 2009. I had bought from him 3+ yrs ago a 99EG .300 and a 99A .250. Don't know if he has any other surprizes, but I hope so !!!

OK, Rick. I resolve to stop lurking & register.

I have been reading the forum for several years because I have a couple friends that are active collectors. I only collect Savage semi-auto pistols but for the same reason that most you collect Savage long guns - the superb craftsmanship and amazing quality of the early weapons. My main interest is the mechanical aspects of the pistols design and production so you won't see me jump in on alot of discussions (I still think "fps" is a feminine hygiene product).

Happy New Year from Las Vegas! I've read for years, but posted only a couple of times. I value all the information here. I started big game hunting 20 years ago with a 99E in .308, which I foolishly sold after I bought a Whelen. I remedied the hole in the safe several years ago with a 99F in .300. I bought it for my wife because she's a lefty...thank goodness she doesn't hunt.

Been here since the G&K days and am still lurking and learning but usually not posting very often. Love this site and hope it continues to prosper.

Many Thanks to Ricbin for hosting this for us.

Just signing in. New here but have learned much already. Great site and I'm sure it will cost me much money in the future. Got an antique gun case to fill.
