Thinking of one for a 243 Kimber 84M.

I have a Mueller on my muzzleloader. It seems to work OK. Good clear sight picture, and so far the adjustments seem reliable. It has been out in a couple of monsoons, and hasn't taken on any water.

What I don't like about it is the cross-hairs are very heavy, which seems unnecessary for a scope with a lighted dot. And I consistently forget to turn off the lighted dot, so it drains the battery. Also, the knob where the battery is stored is inconveniently positioned at the top of the ocular bell, and it's always in the way of the brim of my hat.

There are lots of scopes in that price range to choose from, but if you want a lighted reticle, not so many.

I bought one for my son last year. I thought the lighted reticle would help him out in learning to use a scope, witch it did. As for the scope it is pretty clear and for the 223 it was on, it works fine.
