I don't know for sure. I'll check.

$4 million is a nice little nest egg sitting there.

Ummmmmmm, lesssee here. I have a couple crates of homebrew beer. Nah, past it's "born date."

There's a duffel bag of clothes and gear I still have from Vietnam. Nah, nobody gives a sheet.

Nope, no buggatti, or Bugatti, or anything Italian. Wait, my wife just opened the door and asked what the heck I was doing out here. Told here I was counting her inheritance. She gave me the finger. At least it was the one next to the one with the diamond ring I gave her...

I just went out and looked in my garage. I found a brand new Dodge pickup. Inside, on the front seat is a brown paper bag that I put over my head when I drive it so no one will know who it is.

Next to it is an old Pontiac I bought in 1971, I paid $1500.00 for it. I don't know what it is worth now, more than $1500.00 I suppose, but not quite $4.3 million.

...There's a 72 Vega Kamback in my garage. A small block 383cu.in. for motivation. The car weighs in at 2500 lbs (Aluminum floorboards & a tube frame),it will scoot! Lots of fun, but right now it's undergoing a refreshing, body work, and new paint to come in the spring. A Bugatti it ain't, but it's fun! AND faster too.

There was a similar case in Italy some years ago. A guy ordered and paid for a Rolls, a 2 yr wait at that time. He died before it arrived so his widow had it put in the garage, still in it's shipping crate. It sat there for around 30 years until she died. Her kids auctioned it off and an American bought it and shipped it home, again still in it's original crate. I don't remember the selling price but it was considerable.

When he uncrated it, it was missing the owners manual. He wrote to Rolls, explained the situation, and asked if there was some way to get a manual. A Rolls rep showed up at his door and handed him a manual - along with a new car warranty. He said that the car was undriven, no matter how old it was, and as far as they were concerned, it was still under full warranty.

Wierd Article,......but than it was published in Blighty.

What level of "Such bad Condition" would call out scrapping out a Jag "Sports Car"

that stinks,......the 6 cyl overhead cam boat anchor parts alone would be worth plenty.

No sniveling about that engine, either,.....a good 350 LT 1 in it's stead makes any old Jag a REAL car.

When I was in college I had a job at Harrah's Auto Collection when it was still all in tact. I operated and ran the antique Cretors Popcorn Wagon. One day, Mr. Harrah gave me a ride in the Bugatti Royalle as he took it for a spin around the three warehouses full of like and lesser cars.

I didn't have to pay him much to work there, either. wink grin

Every once in a while you hear about these rare finds showing up somewhere. I remember when I was a kid, they cleaned out a barn after the old farmer died and found a crated up WWI Curtiss J-5 Jenny in excellent condition. You never know what's going to show up when you poke around enough.
