A local talk radio host that is usually quite good really annoyed me this morning with the all to common by media mistake of calling poaching hunting. This frequent misstatement negatively influences the uninformed public's perception of hunting and hunters. Ulitimately this is a threat to our hunting and arms rights Do not let any media outlet or personality make this mistake without informing them and if possible their audience about the difference!

I know. It annoys me too. Hunting is highly regulated, and is actually calculated to be a great help to wildlife.

To most of the media, hunting and poaching are the same thing. Some even think marriage and rape are the same thing.
