You know..........When Chuck Daly was importing these things, they didn't find it at all troublesome to offer them in a left-hand version. Remington takes over and they [bleep] up a soup sandwich.

I saw one in I think .458 win mag at the Cabela's in lacy washington. I liked it. If they are 9reimington) not going to sell them any more i hope sombody worth while starts importing the barrel actions, if not complete rifles. The way remington stoked the one I saw looked prety darn nice. I did,nt care much for the big R embossed on the grip cap, it looked ok but lets face the fact. Its not a Reminrton.
One in .375 H&H or 416 Rigby would get my atention quick. ...tj3006

VERY true. The LEFT HAND actions are STILL made by Zastava in Yugoslavia. I have 2 of the Left handers from Charles Daly. Wish Remington would wise up & filly offer these!!!!! Even though the prices went WAY up when Remmy started briging them in. Great way for a lefty to get a mauser.......or used to be any way.

Look really close at the finish work on these...I've seen a couple that weren't bad, others that were horrible.
Unless they find some long actions, I'm not shot with the idea of milling out the front receiver to accomodate the longer cartridges such as .375 H&H - that's what Whitworth did, even Holland themselves used some standard length actions before the current bunch of true magnum actions became available.

If you want a magnum action you need to get a CZ.
