We got a foot of snow yesterday and today is sunny and calm. I know about a little chunk of state ground that has sone corn on the front half that I have been wanting to walk and thought the tree rats might be out in that corn stubble, I was right. I just finish redoing the stock and forend on my Winchester 62A and have been wanting to go do some damage with it. I shot one of them on the run as he tried to scurry out of the field at about 50 yards straight away from me, a foot of fresh snow tends to slow em down a bit.

passport, You have my gun! Started out with it in 1947-48 after my dad bought it new in a hardware store in Little Rock, Ark. I still have it but don't shoot it as much because I can't see the sights anymore. Can you tell me what the tang sight model number is and I might could find one and keep on shooting my 62A

Great shooting , i love squirrel hunting and did most of my squirrel hunting growing up with open sights.
A Doe walks out of the woods today and says, that is the last time I'm going to do that for Two Bucks.

Nice rifle! Congrat's on your success. I use an aperture sight (Williams FP) on my old Marlin M39A and love to sneak around in the timber with it collecting a mess of squawks.

Love it. Nice old Winchester. I have a Model 1906. Good hunting, too. Great pictures.

Thanks for the picture and the name of the sight. Now, before I call Brownells about it, can you tell me if it is a U.S.A. made sight?

That's a nice looking gun ya got there. I have an 06 and it looks shorter; could just be the angle. The 62 copy I have is the real short carbine version so have nothing to compare.
Is that the original wood? Very nice.
Again beautiful gun. thanks for sharing.
