I finally got around to putting my custom Kampfeld 22/250 together.....been a long fall. Anyway, I bought the SS action last spring and sent it to Carl to perform his magic. Some specs : BBL is a Pacnor, SS, 24", Carl fluted it. Approx. a Remington LVSF contour. 1:12 twist (I plan on hammering groundhogs with a 50VMAX). No heavies thru this dude, 55VMAX is about it. Bolt has the TI spiral flute. Stock is a Micky, with a custom paintjob from CAS. Scope is a Vari-XIII, 4.5x14x50mm AO, makes to great long range wacking, especially under low light conditions. Will also be using it on coyotes..... It is basically a walking varmint rifle. Rock solid with a bipod or off-hand. I will try to get to the range next weekend, stay tuned....

If it shoots like it looks, it'll be a winner.

Good eye. Looking back @ the pics, I notice the two dial temp & barometric pressure display. Ever since I can remember my parents have had one just like it. That thing has got to be close to 40 years old or more.

'bass,
Well, the temp/pressure gauge is actually a temp/humidity guage, and might be 15 years old, although I have seen the gauge you've described......
The shotgun shell boxes ARE old....I have the original 25 shell boxes...some really old stuff that was my father's.........
If I get some time, I'll snap some pics of them.....

Nice looking gun.
If it were me. I would X the wart. Then I'd call it done.

Theirs is probably temp & humidity also, I couldn't recall for sure. They moved approx 2 years ago, and I haven't seen it since then, but knowing them they haven't thrown it out. I just haven't noticed it @ the new house yet.

Dober, As promised, here is a couple of nostalgia pics (crappy as they are).......... Actually have a bunch of them. My late father never threw much away. Tony PS: As you can tell from the rifle pics, my loading stuff is mostly boxed up as I am currently in between houses. Currently renting, and haven't unpacked much, as we have a house being built.....
