28 below this morning but the wind is almost calm. Not a record by any means but the cold has been unrelenting. But they're forecasting a high actually (just) above freezing next week. So maybe there's hope for some comfortable ice fishing - haven't been out yet, not many have. Still a problem with snow, very few lakes are drivable at all. Usually very little precipitation here til almost spring.

My place in the ADK's showed -13 this am. 12 above now.
Sunny/gorgeous.
Bet it was -30 in Saranac Lake.

The truck bounced around between -27 and -26 most of the way to work, it's kinda fun to find the "hot spots" on top of the hills and the cold spots in the valleys...one spot got up to
-24. No wind to speak of....this is all in west metro of Mpls-StPaul

freakin 36 to 40 above here yesterday and today.

I know you guys won't understand, but we'd rather have -40 than 40 above this time of year.

could you folks turn down your heat and not let your cars and trucks warm up. We need to cut down on greenhouse gases, it's too warm here. (grin)

I know you boys in AK or MT won't be impressed but it is supposed to be somewhere around +10 here in the morning and +5 on Saturday. But this is Georgia! I've seen it as low as -9 here, but it has been a long time since it has been this cold.

Sorry, no sympathy here....although it is now +38 this morning......as opposed to the -50 it was last week. Supposed to be back to -30 by next week again. Just another normal Interior AK winter. crazy

Clear skies, minus 11 and windy here at 12:30 PM. Good day to stay inside and watch movies.

13*F, feels like 0 here in Blitzburgh. It's a helluva lot colder when riding your bike doing about 10-15 MPH. Got a little snow, at home (100 miles east) we got over 6". Believe I'll be heading home to ski this weekend.

I left for a week a week ago Friday when it was -22 with a -35 wind chill. It was 4 in Asheville, NC (ate lunch there) last Saturday and 21 in Charleston, SC when I left Wednesday morning. Came back home yesterday and this morning it was still cold, -14 with a -30 wind chill.
