I only made that comment because of the negatives for the rifles that were made just as they were shuting down the factory. I have not been able to get out and shoot it until this coming weekend. I know that my buddies classic is a tack driver. I am getting cabin fever.. grin

Spotshooter, Every Model 70 made since 1969 has a "G" prefix, production grade, Custom Shop, or whatever.

You were absolutly right this gun is very accurate and I am extremely happy. if you aint found it yet, look on the right side of the gun, should be in about the middle between the shoulder end & the loud end.

Not if it has a 6 digit serial. Early 90's guns have 5 digit serials.
