I was feeling the same way. Then I remembered August in Minnesota. 80 deg and 75% humidity. Now I think of that before I go outside and the cold feels ooooh sooo good.

Tell me about it. We'll be lucky to hit 50 degrees today. I'll have to wear a sweater in addition to my spring jacket.

I'm in Billings MT today, and the temps are in the mid to high 50's-warmer than at my house in TN. Snow tomorrow though, so I expect things will warm up down in FL pretty quick.

Got into the low 40's here yesterday; I shot trap in fingerless gloves last night. Downright balmy.

I 'had' (operative word there) a big (sort of) boat once.. Carver Montego, 29' overall w/twin 180 Merc I/Os... I was ecstatic the day I took delivery. I was even MORE ecstatic the day I finally sold it.. Wondeful boat, but drains money faster than pet horses... Never, ever, again... I was feeling the same way. Then I remembered August in Minnesota. 80 deg and 75% humidity. Now I think of that before I go outside and the cold feels ooooh sooo good. Yeah, but that 80 + 70 humidity is WONDERFUL for beer and Harleys...

[quote=Redneck] I was ecstatic the day I took delivery. I was even MORE ecstatic the day I finally sold it.. I was BUMMED the day I sold this boat, did not sell it cuz I wanted to, stuff had to go and this was 1st on the list. I had more fun on that boat, I was single for the 1st year I owned it. I think it had kind of a bad rep after that year, but it was worth it.

Hanky Panky is a cove on the Grand River that leads to lake Michigan near the small town of Grand Haven. In the summer TONS of boats will raft up (tie up together) and party. I have seen a few hundred boats there at times, use to get pretty wild untill a few years ago when we had some drownings, I think there were 1 a year for 2 or 3 years. Dumb azz kids would dive in and push off the bottom, its only about 12 feet deep there, and hit there head on an outdrive on the way back up and get knocked out and drown. That is how I think it happens, but in every case there drunk and the local PD spends a bunch of time in there now.
Plus its a pretty good clip from lake MI, all no wake, and if you have big power you need to keep blowing out your motors, at least mine, or they stumble like hell till you can get back to the big lake and run. Fun for little boats as they can run up to 55 MPH about 1/2 way there IF your under 26 feet. If not its an all day affair to get there.

The cove has it's own website with live streaming video during summer. The cops actually let the adults have their fun but when leaving the cove drunk you run the risk of a "safety inspection." http://hankypank.com/

I feel for you guys, I really do. I'll be fishing "Big Sam" in the AM, with a high predicted in the upper 70's. Please do the same for me in September when the high here is in the 100's and 10' of water is predicted in the front yard!
