I've got a Winchester 1885 High Wall Traditional Hunter rifle produced by Browning several years ago chambered in 38-55.
I've hunted with it several seasons now and just can't warm up to it. Nothing wrong with the rifle, it just doesn't suit me.
It is in good condition, has only had a couple of boxes of cartridges fired through it.
What would be a fair price for the rifle? I'm not in a bind to sell it, just plan on moving it before this years deer season.

I've the same rifle... And I just took it up to my dealer to have him put it up for sale... Mine however, was N.I.B, unfired and had very nice wood. I expect to get $1500-$1600 out of mine.
I would expect one that has been with and without the box would likely bring $900-$1200 depending on condition. But that is merely a guess. HTH...

You can get them from gallery of guns for 1100 and change new in the box with the limited edition certificate.
So your rifle is going to be worth less than that ,depending on the condition.
