It was manufactored in 1916...it is a takedown version.
I removed the barrell for cleaning...it went back together fine...but now the bolt won't completely close????
Any idea what I did or what happend and what to do now?

Might ask in the Savage Collector forum. I've got several, and the bolt never has a problem closing for me.

will the lever close all the way? hate to be mr. obvious, and not trying to be I wise-ass, but make sure the safety is in the right position, or the lever won't close, and the bolt won't run home.
