It's about $200 more than I remember it it to be. This is the sportical model, about as basic as an AR-15 gets. If that's all you can find and you think you need an AR-15 right now, then go for it.

Do a little research on 223 vs 5.56 chambers. I see many people mention the chambers are different, but never found out exactly what the difference is. I suspect a 5.56 mil-spec chamber is looser than a commercial 223 chamber, and if you reload stay away from the 5.56.....
Price seems pertty good to me, haven't seen many AR's for under $900.

You can fire .223 in a 5.56 chamber.Thats as cheap as it gets now a days.I like clean,simple uncomplicated rifles(basic).I dont have mud flaps on my truck either.
