FB aka Facebook is a social networking site. It is much different then myspace and lets you reconnect with old friends, new friends and family. It lets you control who you allow access to whoever you choose.

It actually is quite fun.

We went to the lake yesterday for a bit, caught up with bangflop, his sister & their friends.

Fishing northerns with tip ups, it was pretty slow but the kids did get a nice one while we were there.

we also met up with rooster & his wife special K, we went out for dinner after fishing & shared a couple of pitchers of beer, it was a good time.

today we decided to go to the cabin and haul some more firewood from some near by logging operations.

We just did one load.

back at the cabin we unloaded the logs & lit a bonfire. We sat around the fire on what turned out to be a beautiful day. We cooked our lunch over the fire.

then we took a walk back into the woods to set up the trail cam again.

That pic of you and Preacher walking down the trail deserves to be on the cabin wall. That is a great pic. No poses, no goofing off, just a Dad and his buddy walkin'. That is a classic in the best sense of the word.

Looks like you guys had a full weekend. And fun. Congrats to CBF on the 40"er.

It was a beautiful weekend here. 40's and mid 50's on Sunday. Worked on the basement, went for a run, even pulled the boat home yesterday.Even heard rumors of a 14# walleye caught on Saturday, near the mill.

Great pictures Dave. Thanks for sharing. Darn nice Northern that bang flop had.

Is Northrn and Walleye season open year round on LOW? Here in Wisconsin the Northern/Walleye season closes at the end of Feb and reopens the first Saturday in May on lakes. Season is open year round on most rivers.

lake of the woods is a border waters, northerns stays open on the lake year round, walleyes close though... not quite yet though. Still open, I have a hankering to leave work early to go get my fish house off the lake & try some evening walleye fishing in the shallows....

It's not my intention to turn this thread into a "for sale" section but I am about to list three firearms for sale and would rather give my friends here first shot at a reduced price.
Email me for details if interested.

I hope this post is not out of line.

Hey fellas!
We had a great weekend of fishing up on LOW. We couldn't have asked for better weather and the pike fishing was pretty decent. Between me and the wife we caught a 28 , 29 , 37, 39 1/2, 40 and last but not least Karens 41 20 pounder that is going to the taxidermist. The others went back in the lake except the ones under 30. Their going in our sewer...........eventually! grin

As Dave mentioned, we met up with him and Pam and the kids out there on the ice and had a very good time! Maybe Dave would be kind enough to post Special K's big un for you guys to check out. She was pretty excited! Almost as excited as me. I'm very proud of her!

Very nice fish!

We did ok last night too, got the fish house off the lake & scored a decent evening run of walleye & kept a northern too.

We added to this pile after I took this picture.

Limit is 4 on the walleyes, slot fish (throw backs) are from 19.5" to 28", we had one of those yesterday as well.

We have slots here on the WI river system too.

15" to under 20" we can keep. 20"-28" throw back, you can keep 1 over 28". Every year we catch tons of 14.5" walleys. I don't know where the hell they go the next year, it seems they get replaced with more 14.5" walleyes.

In the spring we'll get a lot in the 21-24" which are fun, but need to go back. I don't keep many fish out of the WI River anyway.
