Bolivar-
When you obtain some more of the factory ammo that shoots well in your rifle, be sure to measure the bullet diameter. I should have suggested this in my note above.

Okay, if I try the crimping thing I will just use a spacer for setting the die to seat and then remove this with the stem backed out for crimping.

At least this will allow me to try it and see if neck tension helps. Then I can look at getting a Lee Crimp die later.

Shoots well is a relative term. It functioned fine, left no sooting on the brass but grouped about 4-5 inches for 5 shots. I am hoping to get half this size with this rifle.

I did measure the bullet just above the case mouth before firing. 0.311 inches which is what I expected it to be. The bullets I have been having trying so far have been this size and larger (up to 0.312 inch)
