quite as often anyway. Never seen the ammo shelf at WalMart as bare as it was today. No 9mm, 40s&w, 06, 308, 223 at all. Is everybody hoarding or can't the manufacturers keep up? I'm glad now that I bought a bunch back when it was cheap. Guess I'd better save it for the rainy day that's surely coming. What say you? Dave

Yes.
I replace valve cover gaskets every 50K, if they don't need them sooner...

Folks here will buy all you can sell them, we have gone to limiting sales to 2 boxes of fifty or 100 rounds per customer so all of them can have some at least. Most of our ammo orders are on "backorder".

Noticed the same thing at our local Wal-Mart. It was so bad I asked the couter guy if they were discontinuing ammo sales. He said "No, they are just having a hard time getting any in."

The government is buying up all the ammo. They must be worried that America might rise up and start a revolution.

I haven't had to buy ammo lately, but I sure haven't seen a shortage of it at my local Wal-Mart. I get a big kick out of it still when I buy .22LR ammo and I get asked if it's for a rifle or handgun.

Talked to the manager at my local wal-mart about the ammo shortages. He told me that as soon as the guys put it on the shelf it's gone! He told me that some gentleman waited until the stock boy opened the case of 9mm and told him not to bother putting it in the show case, he bought the whole case! I'll pick up a box of 550 22 ammo or some UMC .223 when its available just to have the extra ammo/brass around. Primers and powder are the real hen's teeth lately!

Ammo is out there you just have to look for it. Wally World goes fast because everyone is already at WW buying other stuff and walks by the gun counter.
I bought the last 2 boxes of WWB 9mm here they will ever sell last week. They are redoing the store and eliminating the gun counter will only have license sales in the future. A town of 30k and that was the only place to buy ammo and new guns for that matter.
There's some cheap ammo if you dig deep enough. A few weeks ago I found some old Remington green box UMC .223 (20/box) at the army surplus store in a counter deal for $4.99/box and bought all they had.

I was out looking for ammo today. Wal-Mart's in the Twin Cities area are out of pistol ammo. I found .45 auto, 7.62x39 and .22 ammo pretty easily. 'Hit the local Gander Mountain and Mills Fleet Farm stores. Gander had a little bit of everything. Fleet Farm's shelves were bare. I'm just going to keep picking up a box or two here and there as I can. We are worst off for 9mm, but I've got enough of everything we shoot to make somebody's day real miserable for a while.

I was at the Walmart in Duluth Minnesota today. They had one box of .357 Sig. and one box of .44 mag. left - that was it. The clerk said they can't even get it to the shelves when it comes in. I was at Walmart in Superior, Wisconsin today as well. They were cleaned out too. Clerk said the same thing. The Duluth Walmart had one box of 40 rounds of .223 and that was it. Most handgun brass and .223 brass is in very short supply. Look for this stuff on Midwayusa.com and you will see that nearly everything in the 9mm, .45, .223 and others is out of stock.
