Went out this morning and saw three toms, all three had hens with them. I was all set up with the decoys out on two of them but do you think they would leave their hens, heck no! One of them would respond to my call but he wouldn't leave his hen, guess I didn't sound as sexy <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />. I'll go back out next week and see if the toms are looking for some new stuff.

Other day a couple younger jakes responded to my calls, but wouldn't come in. Back and forth they went for about a half hour. Never did see them. I wish I could read a turkey's mind.
Regards, sse

I've been seeing a few this last week. This is the last weekend of the season and I am going to try it again. The birds have not been answering the calls this year. We have had some really strange weather this spring.
Good luck.

Try calling the hens. They will bring the toms into shotgun range for you.
