The basic premise of PIF is offer something before you take something, not after.

Ah, no. Been here since its inception. Read the very first page. Thanks.
I received a very serviceable scope for a youngin's rifle. Thanks very much. For additional PIF I have a belly band holster to offer. In my closet, I found a like new black elastic belly band holster for a small semi auto/revolver that I forgot I had. Would fit anywhere from 34-40 inch belly, heehee. If anyone can use it, let me know.

Well, OK, from that first post I guess you are correct.
I was referring to posts that say something to the effect" I need an XXX, if someone has one I'll put something up else I have".
If you have something to put up, just put it up, it shouldn't be contingent on getting something first

Yeah, I agree, seems a little disingenuous. I guess if someone has the item gathering dust, they could offer it up to that person who's asking for it. I probably would, but I'm so broke I squeek.

I have a pair of Holden ironsighter See through mounts off a Remmy, a cable lock, a pair of 3/4 rimfire scope rings, and 2 - 20 guage Full Winchokes(fit SKB too, and probably Browning Short invector).
Still need a BDL SA triggerguard if anyone has one. Floor plate not needed.

A local kid is turning 18 in a few weeks and would like to be able to shoot his 338 WM (yeah, I know, why didn't his father get him a 280 instead). I'm looking for dies, brass and bullets - on a budget. Offering these up as PIF even if you don't have any of the above: Various VHS hunting videos - deer, bear, turkey- bow & firearm. stripper clips for Mausers S & W 22 clip loader Aluminum 1" rings for 22 rimfire.

Cowboybart, I'd like those .22 rings. I've already PIF'd with a couple pairs of Weaver rings earlier. PM sent.

Thanks Surfj! I really needed those dies! My contribution is a pair of turkey calls. These will go together. One is a Lynch box call, and the other is an Orosz slate and peg. Both are in excellent condition and have put a couple Thanksgiving dinners on the table.
