I'm confused.

You initially said: "I have contact with a friend wanting to sell a 5-digit serial number, Remington 700, Stnlss-stl, 25-06. The rifle was originally in BLUE mode but the BLUE was professionally removed.".

Then you said: "I make 3 phone Long D phone call's in order to find out code letter which needs to be a K.".

Now you've said: "You can not imagine how nice that 63 is...with me every day... ".

It appears, from your words, as though your "friend" boards his 5-digit Remington 700 with you, so why make 5 long distance calls? If you have it in hand, why don't you just take a close look at the assembly code on the barrel, look for 2 alpha characters just ahead of the receiver on the left side, and post them. Or, better yet, post a close-up picture of the area of the barrel where the assembly code should be.

The information that you've reported about this rifle raises a red flag for me, therefore my recommendation remains Caveat Emptor!

I'm really trying to get better pictures; current owner lives in CONNEAUT, OH 44030. He can't hear very well on the phone and the wife needs a magnifying glass to see/read...it has been a struggle.

They did send me some pix's but they are too big...but I am working on it..

Last month I bought a very ltd model 700 CDL 308 from them...I guess only a few hundred of this model 308 were made..

Here is a compiled description:

Rem 700, 264, Stn-Stl.

A) Was Blue over stainless steel, Bluing removed.

B) 5 digit serial: 88--7.

C) Barrel code is BFK.

D) Barrel length 24�.

E) Open sights.

F) Walnut stock pressed checkering.

I emailed current owner asking for a selling price and I presented the concern mentioned here that collector value is diminished because the Bluing was removed. Once I get the asking price information I will post all info here and then I will be out of the loup.

Information compiled and asked for a selling price; hopefully they will get back to me today...

UPDATE...I was given the wrong caliber...this rifle is a 264....
