Very nice. I see a couple have the middle sight along with tang sight on. Is it in the way come shooting time? So far I have three but two I have to make up reasons for this or that and they're not as fun to show off. The third I can't show enough even to people how don't care. The main reason for starting this topic, even though side tracking and covering some good ground(and old ground) was to try and keep up on the going price of a Savage src. All of you put in good argument to the merits of aution sales, good and bad. There's a handful of us that do have the need to use the internet and aution house as that is what is available as compared to driving to the next shop or show. All aside maybe it's just a fellow with more dollars than sense that is pushing the price up or someone like me that has to pay the going rate because of the option limits.

The picture of my SRC's taken above was taken in very bright sunlight. It makes the receiver of the .32/40 look washed out - which it isn't. These pictures might be a bit better but I am still using a good amount of sunlight. The trio below are all .32/40 SRC's:

Boltman, nice pieces there.I know what you're saying about finding good ones,it's hard.I just haven't found the one with condition I want.I have one RS in .250 and that's it.That's what makes crusing the racks fun....rifle

I've bought alot of guns at Amoskeag and Devine over the last 20+ years. I used to work around there, and it was worth going to check out the guns, just to see alot of rare guns you'ld never see otherwise. I don't care if they get their 15% if I still get a good deal. I've seen guys that won't go because of the 15% buy guns from dealers who bought them there, paid the 15%, and added a good profit. The Savage 32-40 SRC went for $1000 before the buyers premium. I would have liked it for that, but I had already spent my life savings.
I've had all that I wanted of alot of things I've had, and alot more than I've needed of some things that turned out bad.
