Mr. Big Stick, while there is certainly more to life than .284 caliber, tell me your opinion of Winchester model 70 featherweight rifles in .280 rem. Picked one up a couple weeks ago as I really do like a .280's potential.

Holy crap, this is still going? Since I last read this thread I've tried filling all my barrels with solder and running a 7mm rod through them. Life is good. Mr. Big Stick, while there is certainly more to life than .284 caliber...CLB By the looks of this thread, I'm not sure Little Prick will agree. That's one .284-OCD having little Giftzwerg. http://www.translation-services-usa.com/free_translator.php Use the German-English translator, it's the best description I can think of.

I concur with STW's comment: "Kick those 270's this way.I'll find a use for all them.".
They make great donor actions for the 25-06AI,280 and 280AI. In a pinch,a guy can even slum them opened to .532" for the H&H/Ultra ilk.
