Found what I think is a great deal on these. Anybody ever use them? Are they a good deer/elk bullet?

However its interesting that accutips are offered in some weights that are not listed at all for Hornady SST's, the 120 gr 6.5mm accutip being one example. A friend whom I hunt with has taken several whitetails and hogs with the .277 130 gr Accutips. I was present and witnessed some of these kills, all but one produced exit wounds, internal damage resembled a ballistic tip. For deer size game they are a fine choice IMHO. Bill Bill

Hornady and other bullet manufacturers will make up a special run of bullets if the order is large enough.

Here is another kicker on the 120 gr accutip. Remington, Midway, none I can find sell the 6.5mm 120 gr accutip as a component. They do sell the 6.5mm 140 gr acctip as a component.
Remington shows a factory accutip load with the 120 gr bullet but not the 140 gr. Yet they sell a 140 gr accutip as a component, but not the 120gr. Confused yet?
Midway same way, have a loaded 120 gr accutip load, but no 120 as component, only a 140 gr. Yet no 140 gr accutip facory load listed.
Sorry to get off course wallaby, just found this marketing interesting regarding the accutip....and somewhat confusing.

Screw it. I'll just keep shooting Interlokts. They're cheap and I know they work. Now if I can just find primers I'll be in good shape.

Can't go wrong with the Interlock. It's my favorite bullet, super-premium, premium , cup and core and otherwise.

Shot 1 whitetail with the .260 120 gr factory load in a 20" barrel Mod 7 stainless. 135 lb live wt buck at about 70 or so yds IIRC. Broadside across top of heart & out the other side. Looked like a grenade went off inside the chest. Buck ran a semi-circle & died.
