Been tinkering a little with the cartridge. Tried 110's, 130's, and 150's...so far all close to the same POI. All very accurate in my rifle. I have done no real serious load development and it's like the rifle just wants to stack them on top of each other

If you do a quick search you can turn up some old threads, but here's a taste!

I loaded them up last summer when Barnes released them and used them last fall for Deer & Elk.

I got my best velocity with MagPro powder and the 140g TSX bullet, WLRM, and Win Brass. Set .030 off rifling.

I got my best groups at Max loads.

RL-19 will come very close to the velocity of the MagPro with the 140g TSX. But we have seen pressure signs show up with it, depending on the batch of powder.

MagPro meters well and is just starting to get compressed at the max load reciepes.

I tried the 140TSX with MagPro, RL-19, Retumbo, and IMR 4350. ( fastest to slowest as listed). I shot them out of a Mod 70 Stainless/Synthetic 270WSM.

Thanks for the input.

I just picked up the rifle and I am in the process of ordering the scope (Leupold 2.5x8). I am pretty excited about load development.

I shoot that exact combination. RL19 and VV N560 have proven the best performers for me, both with standard WLR primers.

Barnes suggests you can get about 3300fps, but I run mine a hair under 3250 (25" barrel) and can't see much merit in pushing them any harder.

I can tell you that the combination is a holy terror on Hogs and ground squirrels.
