So about 2 months ago I became the owner of a Model 46 Husqvarna. I ordered a box of Norma 232gr. Oryx, dies, and some 270gr. Speer bullets. I finally got out yesterday and though I only shot 10 rounds, I am absolutely hooked on these big slow moving bullets. The 1/2" steel plate I was shooting was considerably more impressed than I would have thought.
Recoil was moderate and I couldn't seem to miss. I should be getting the scope on this week and then I will take her back out.
Just had to let someone know, I knew you guys would understand.

9.3X 62? or 57 Got a pic?
JOC was right. The 270 Winchester on a Model 70 is a great combination as is the 30/06 and 375 H&H

I love my 9.3X62, but those old 9.3X57 pickle tossers (as the Swedes call them) sure sound like fun.

Evans, You might want to take a look at the GunBoards Swedish forum at http://forums.gunboards.com/forumdisplay.php?f=50Lots of very knowledgable and friendly folks regarding the Husqvarna rifles.

Sometimes I need to remember not to take a swig of coffee prior to reading a new post... I might near choked to keep from spewing coffee all over my laptop! My dad always called them: "Pumpkin slinger"! But I think I like "Pickle tossers" better... I own two of those Husqvarna 9.3x57's, There is just something about those old Huskys... Perhaps an intrinsic quality that's lost on the rifles of today. They just seem to "feel" more solid and reliable... Grasshopper
