Nawwwwwww,I think the kids are well more than a touch comfy with their lifestyles,opportunities and Outdoors appreciations,mainly because they have to suffer the conversations of kids like your's,bemoaning their sheltered lives.
But hey,that's the beauty of living vicariously...you get a fix every time I/we do.

Yeah my kids have a sheltered life. That is what living at 7000 feet elevation in the Rockies does to them...
I suppose if I TRULY loved them, I could move them to an island and leave them alone for over half of the time...
