I'm still shopping for a scope for my target 10/22. I'm now looking at Mueller 4.5-14 with AO scope, seems like a lot of scope for the money. But all my previous centerfire scopes have been Leupold, which have been fantastic.
So I'm torn as to which direction to go and hoping for suggestions.
This gun will only be used for target and not hunting.

All my guns wear Leupold, except 1, my 10/22 wears a Mueller Eradicator. I have owned the AVP and liked it, cross hairs were a bit thick for me but it is a lot of scoppe for the money and the customer service is awesome. I have never had any issues with there scopes but know a few who have and for the most part they just send you a new scope.
Check rimfirecentral.com for a used one if you want to save a few bucks.

The APV is a great scope for the money. The can be had for $115 shipped from Mizzou Mule Guns. He is a sponsor on RimfireCentral.

look at the Tasco world class scopes. I have them on my 22's and really like them. Bright, clear scopes for the money. I use the 4x-16x-40AO's.

I have a Tac-II in 3-10x44 on my 30-06, and it is as bright a scope or maybe a tad brighter as either of my Leupolds. It tracks well, and returns to zero well. Can't see why a Meuller wouldn't work on a rimfire, especially with the AO.

I have the APV 4.5x14 on my .204 and love it. Very clear, good field of view and adjustments track properly. Had it out whacking ground squirrels just this week end

I agree with everyone on it being well worth the money. I used the one I had on a 10-22 and a 223. No problems. I like Leupolds too but a Leupold with that magnification and AO will cost you five times as much. If you're going to get real serious about target shooting you might want more magnification though.
