How has everyone been doing in their Spring small and large mouth Bass fishing, along with Crappie fishing? It's been fair to good at times in this area. It will improve greatly now in my area, that TVA and the Corp of Engineers have finally stabilized the lake levels at Summer pool. Good luck on your fishing. :

Fishing is decent where I am. Catching lots of small (8-12in) largemouth bass on spinnerbaits, but I can't seem to find any of the lunkers. As for crappie, the lake I fish has lots of small ones that are easy to catch, but because of its large population of small ones it won't support many big ones. Nonetheless I'm catching alot of 6-7 inchers on red/chartruese tube jig. Good luck.

The way the fish management is set up in TN. you've got to fish hard to even come up with good keeper Bass, with the minimum length of 15" and the Crappie length of 10". The TWRA Tennessee Wildlife Resourse Agency, biologist say that the minimum length limits will make it better. It gets frustrating to catch good fish that are so close to the limit, and then have to immediatly release them. Damn things won't grow the 1/4 to 1/2 inch I need while in the livewell.

Went to my favorite lake last weekend and caught 75 fish. A mixed bag of stripers, largemouth, Kentucky's, and smallmouth. All came on topwater except for a few smallmouth on Wiggle Warts. Largest striper was 22#. Largest bass was a largemouth that weighed 4.5#. I love fishing in the spring!!

Sooner or later our heritage of hunting is going to be a rich mans sport and the words "Outfitter" and "Hunt Industry" will be synonymous with cancer and A.I.D.S. among blue collar hunters like me and my family! (A.L. Williams - 2010)
