I can't see driving a dull knife, when sharp ones are available.

The 7-08 is all of that and in S30V too.

'TBag,

A First Generation s/a Ti in .473" remains the one to beat and the Montucky has all things Whizzum sewn up.

For the loot,a Faux Ti rates a thunk.

One could spend thousands of dollars to figure this out(as you have) or take notes and get it right the first time arround. Thanks for the info......

It's ALL about the bullet. Then the magbox/throat must be in synch,to bear the most fruit.

As an outright Killing Platform, the Montucky 7 Whizzum is an amazing machine and exceptionally well thought out from recoil pad to crown. There isn't a better blend of Oooomph and portable Precision, ever offered over the counter.

My Ti will out Agg it,but it does that to most everything.

Since it looks like many that want a "Montucky" in the 7 will have to rebarrel, do you go with the Remmy MR contour?

It is very easy to dupe the existing contour and that's the route all I know have taken.

Everyone is pleased in the transformation.

I guess I'm a little slow but is a Faux Ti, a stainless model in a Ti stock?

yup ... Ti take-off (ADL) stock, remmy 700 short action (preferrably stainless), and either a Ti contour bbl ... you CAN go MR contour, which is very close, but the Ti contour is preferred ...

Um guys, the phrases "I could care less" and "I couldn't care less" mean opposite things. I just point this out because in the context of this argument and the context of certain posts I think individuals have trumped themselves and I just wanted to help.

That's the beauty of Fauxtitude...in that it can be whatever you wish.

For my money,S/S is very cheap insurance and CM is for show, not go.

A S/S Mountain Rifle dumped into a Ti takeoff will afford much in the way of inherent latitudes, less concession.

Win/win.

Nice rifles-I think you will like that Montana; I sure like mine.
