We had "Tag Quesadillas" last night. Delicious. I butchered my own Tags this year so I have packets of Tag set up just how I like it. I marinated chunks of Tag for two days in Newman's Lime and Mesquite marinade, along with some extra cumin, chipolte chile powder, garlic slivers, and so on. I cooked the chunks of Tag on the BBQ, cut them up thin, and put them on tortillas with cheese, avacado slices, sour cream, and salsa and a little chopped cilantro. A tortilla on the bottom, one on the top (wet them down first so they don't get crispy) and wow, delicious and fast and easy.

I know you probably don't eat much Tag up there in the land of easy hunting, so I thought I'd share this recipe with you in the spirit of brotherly love, peace and goodwill, and all that.

Well undoubtedly you've a wealth of "experience" in using Mystical Loads upon Game you can't see and few could offer such insight.

They aren't active out there this morning; dunno why. The peacocks are going nuts. They eat good too. But I was turkey hunting.

These are 'hood gobblers- in my rural area in other words. I have permission to hunt two of the neighboring properties. They don't come on mine because my dog is trained to run them off, see "peacocks", below. Yesterday, I called in a hen to about 15 feet, but Gobbler #1 hung up one property too far away, gobbling his fool head off and strutting and saying "Come to Butthead!". Me being one hard to get hen, I didn't come <g>.

Gobbler #2 was 40 yards away but just on the wrong side of a field fence. I would have shot him anyway, but there were houses about 200 yards in the background... I grew up in the land of rocks, anytime you pulled the trigger a richochet would go whining off into the distance, so even though this was with a shotgun and on grass, I just couldn't pull the trigger.

Off to go shoot long range and cut wood, while TryMe types... grin...
