Bingo.

Gotcha,

The 40.5 was what I had written down from a few years back. I run slightly different charges too when swapping brass makes.

If multiple reloading manuals give like velocities, apples to apples, it is achievable. Some bitch the manuals are run slower than need be because of lawyers and you that their velocities can't be reached without going beyond prudent pressures.
It is good to know your limitations but lame when you think the experience of reloading 20 cartridges equals anything of value to take others that have to task when you never went beyond your self imposed bottleneck that whole time.

It has nothing to do with load manuals, brass capacity, COAL, or individual rifle variances.

It has everything to do with JO refusing to understand or admit when he's wrong or he's in over his head. Like the blue tape debacle....... Or voting for Hussein......

All it would take is loading for one cartridge and changing brass to see why the difference in loads for Lapua v R-P.

Fear not, I'm positive the hamsters in 'ol JO's head are frantically spinning those wheels attempting to find some way to keep this asinine thread continuing.... and thus the attention he so craves.

I don't - what would happen if he became independently wealthy - with even more time to spout his BS?

What a bunch of children.

I'm not keeping count, but I can remember 3 different loads that have been called TryMe's load.

He needs to post it himself.

By the way- kissing the lands is not that same as 2.815 (or whatever it was). Which is it? See?

TryMe, post your load. The rest of you, grow up. Your undies are showing.

So are you trying to say that "kissing the lands" can not in any way end up at an OAL of 2.815 or whatever?

I could care less what reloading books say, for two reasons. First, since when are the speeds in the manuals achievable? I have loaded for close to 20 centerfire rifles. ONE of those will routinely get book speeds with book charges of powder. ONE. And that one has a Pac-Nor Supermatch barrel on it. The rest vary from 50 to as much as 200 fps under "book" speeds

This from the guy who likes to post imaginary 308 loads, won't use a TSX because he's read of failures, a 223 on deer, fears blue because he read it somewhere and liked Obama's record better than McCain's.

Guess sometimes reading is better than getting your hands dirty, unless its not in your favor...
