I purchsed some .38/.357 bullets off of the classifieds here. Well, the Post Office must have dropped the box off the back of a tall truck. The box was trashed, and the lead bullets in the shipment got dirt/grit all over them.

What can I use to get the grit/old lube off, and what can I do to relube them. I am semi newb to reloading, total newb to pistol reloading, and totally ignorant when it comes to cast/lead bullets, but I learn fast.

Any suggestions???

If at first you don't succeed, try something drastic..............

Put them in a pan of boiling water, the lube will melt off and float to the top, should bring the crud and grit with it. Let the water cool the lube will set up on top and you can lift it off like a pancake.
Then you can either pan lube them and go, or use some Liquid Alox to lube them , or run them thru a lubrisizer.

the most expensive bullet there is isn't worth a plug nickel if it don't go where its supposed to.
