Ole Browny even got personalized license plates already. I must have slept through something. Is Browny a replacement for the 64 Ford?

well Bill, the 64 is still a possibility, but ole browny has some drivability qualities to it such as power steering, power disk brakes, automatic trans, and 4 wheel drive for winter time.

So, it's a good training rig for the weeze. Especially since she won't get her license until the end of november when the snow will be flying around here.

Make no mistake, browny is MY TRUCK. If weeze does in fact lend a hand with the truck then she will earn certain influences with such things as paint color etc. But it will remain my truck. Once she has a little driving experience under her belt she may have a better idea as to what sort of vehicle suits her & we'll go from there.

grin

Not a bad training rig, but I still say you haven't finished teaching her to drive til she can drive a manual.

Dave, that truck brings back some memories. A 1977 Ford F250 4X4 was my first new truck. 400 and a 4 speed in mine.
Tom I took 22 walleyes last week 2 miles from home out on Saginaw Bay. All spawned out males 20-24" lg. Fresh saute'd cheeks made the cold worth it. Nice to see things are thawing in the far North. We've had 4" of rain here in the last 3 days and things are at a standstill.

That rain shuts them right down doesn't it? At least that much does.

It is a nice feeling when you get fish big enough to get cheeks out of them. Tenderloin is the only thing that comes close to cheeks.

I like the color scheme of browny now. Shine it up a bit and she'll be great.

Is that last truck a 78 or 79? Well, the grill is anyway. I like the look of the black truck, but I'm a big fan of the race-track type trim on the Browny.

Scott, thoses are some large males. Is that typical if Saginaw Bay?

SIL stopped over after work yesterday and we installed a new wiring harness and lights. The old lights were falling apart and we replaced them with a set of LED lights. Those LEDs are the cats azz. Sure are bright and hopefully no more replacing tail light bulbs.

Tom, the bottom 2 picks, primer spotted before pic & the black truck in the after pic are a 78. That truck was a total POS when I started with it.

I've seen the trucks she's been looking at for ideas & so far it seems her fav truck was a black one, she also found a really nice red one too.

So lets hope she don't choose pink, I would have to respectfully decline that request grin

Sucks me in every time...my little Princess.

Bill,

chased the birds around a bit this morning with a guy from work. We had no answers to my calls of any kind, then at 6:00 a bearded hen flew down 35yds in front of us and started yelping up a storm. He couldn't get a shot at it. She yelped and putted for about 15min. I tried to mimic her, but it angered her, she did it louder and started walking away.

Then at 7am, we bail out to get to work, and bust a tom from a tree, 100yds from where the truck was parked. crazy

That is how my turkey hunts usually go. They must have been tight lipped because we walked under them in the dark. Who knows.

Hang in there Tom. Odd that the Tom was still in a tree at that time of day. One thing about turkeys, just when you think you've got them figured out they come up with something new.

You mentioned bearded hens. Saw a Tom with no beard on Monday. It was with another Tom. No mistake that it was a Tom as I had to stop for them when they walked right out on the road in front of me. Never saw that before.

Got a showing on the house today....hopefully we get an offer!
