i think it might not have been a "photo op" as was reported. The military jet would have been close by in order to over-ride the electronic controls of the 747, to prevent it from hitting the statue of liberty.
also, just want to state right here and now that I'm proud of Senator Arlen Specter for changing over to the Democratic Party, to prevent filibusters that waste everyone's time. Our country needs to make decisive moves quickly and efficiently. Though it must have been assuredly a tough decision for Specter, knowing the flak he might get, he made the right decision that will help our country get back on its feet.
I myself was a Republican till I saw Republicans were selling our jobs overseas for pennies on the dollar. We need to start buying American, resurrect American companies, become American in our identity again. But it's no easy task to find items made in America, and that is so wrong. It is an injustice. In America, the majority of products should say, "Made in America."
This is one nation under God, and being under God means we must respect our President and leaders and trust our elected officials.

Well I agree with the selling of our jobs assertion, but will disagree with you regarding the fillibuster. It is only a waste of time if you are in favor of said law that is about to be passed. Decisive moves? Well that depends on what they are. If you call a cap and trade tax to be passed on to the middle class, decisive action, I don't want any part of it. Finally regarding Spector, it makes me sick that somebody who I guess claims to be conservative, could actually see a guy selling out for his own political preservation as something noble. If Spector truly changed parties for his beliefs that is one thing, but to waffle on policy and then have those waffles cost you your future reelection, so instead of living by your decisions you jump to the other party to save your own political ass, that is hardly anything to applaud. Welcome to the Fire.
