I have a leupold vari x 3 6.5X20 with VO and shade. it's gloss and in excellent condition\ can someone help me set a fair price on this, it's several years old # 110133

Try the search feature for the classifieds. There have been several of these scopes sold in the past few months and that will help give you an idea of price.

Depending on the features and the condition of your scope I would price it between $375 and $500.

If its several years old then its a VX - III, not a VX-3. Kind of confusing on Leupolds part. But they upgraded thier rifle scope line up, and the new VX "Three" went from the roman numeral three "III" to the new numerical "3". The new "Three"s have a second generation Argon/Krypton gas charge and leupolds proprietary diamoncoat lens coating. Although the new VX-3's are priced similiarly to the old VX-III's in the same magnifications; this has pushed the price of the older III's down considerably. If yours has a 30mm tube and a 50mm objective lense then its a "LR" model for longrange, I have the same scope and I bought it for around $800, so it might be worth $600-$700. If it has the 1" tube and a 40mm objective lens then its worth a couple hundred less. Cabelas is overpriced, but its easy to see every model and is a general guide. Hope this helps!

I'd second the 375.00-450.00 ish range depending on turrets or not

it is the VXIII and has the 40mm objective, it does not have turrets and has fine duplex reticle.
